PRINCE REED
Trustee, Village of South Holland
Prince is a BOMA Certified Master Facility Executive with certifications in basic computer skills training, ITILv3, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Business Analysis, Project Management, and a LEED Green Associate. He has worked for Fortune 100 companies like Goldman Sachs and Kodak and served as Chief Operating Officer for a small startup medical practice. His background in operations, contracts, projects, and facilities management and experience in contract writing, negotiation, and management helps save money, avoid costs, and meet deadlines. Equipped with an analytical eye for details that others miss, he enjoys researching and discovering innovative alternatives to business challenges and looks for opportunities to document and streamline processes.

Currently, a Vice President of Facilities Services for DaVita Kidney Care, Prince has oversight for more than 3000 clinics with operating and asset budgets in excess of $200 million, across the United States thereby making him responsible for providing direction to a team of approximately 200 teammates comprised of directors and facilities managers and external vendors, comprehensive facilities management including complete interior and exterior building structure and grounds maintenance, centralized management for complete building, property, and maintenance thereof, including, but not limited to, full budgetary responsibility for items with depreciative value, asset life cycle analysis, reactive and proactive maintenance programs, including preventive and predictive maintenance, as well as leading many special initiatives.
As a licensed and ordained Elder in the Church of God in Christ, Inc., Prince serves at Christ Community Church in South Holland, IL on the Ministry Staff Development team, as Youth Director, as a Worship Leader, and as a Sunday School Teacher. He is also a Senior Chaplain endorsed by Chaplain Fellowship Ministries International.
Believing he is “uniquely gifted for youth ministry, he has dedicated his life to youth advocacy for more than 25 years. He is affectionately called “Uncle P” by many and dad by some. As such, Prince is President of the Youth Department for First Jurisdiction of Illinois where he provides oversight and programming for youth at over 90 churches. He serves in the Adjutancy Corps, as Secretary of the Ordination Board, and is a member of the Board of Education. As a member of the Executive Committee of the National Pastors and Elders Council, Prince works with Emerging Millennial Leaders to develop curriculum, resources, and training. He is President of the Midwest Region Youth and Young Adult Department, the 2nd Vice Chairman of the Coalition of Presidents for the International Youth Department of the Church of God in Christ, Inc. responsible for providing annual training and resources to youth leaders across the country and Administrative Assistant to the VP of Operations and Logistics. Lastly, Prince was recently appointed as the Chief Financial Officer for Nigeria United Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.
Possessed with a strong belief in giving back to the community, Prince serves on the South Suburban College Trustee Board and is currently serving his second term as an elected Trustee in the Village of South Holland. He has served in many volunteer capacities in South Holland: Youth Commission, Economic Development Commission, Central Committee, and the South Holland Ministerial Association. His community network has made it possible, through partnerships with Thornton Township, to provide meals to families throughout the South Suburban Region.

As a firm believer in being a lifelong learner, he has obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership, an Executive MBA in Management and Leadership, a Master of Divinity with a focus on counseling at Trinity Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Ministry in Pastoral Care. Since 1999, Prince has resided in South Holland with his wife of over twenty-eight years, Taronda, and two children, Javiere and Ariana, and one grandchild Jalanni.
